Once an organisational structure has been created in the RetailForce Cloud, configurations can be created for the tills.
For general information on configurations, see the linked article.
The configuration for Italy is explained in more detail in this article.
Configuration Italy - [9] = Italy
The following parameters can be preset by configuration:
- Caption* - (arbitrary) name of the configuration
- Organisation* - selection for which organisation the configuration is to be provided
- Simple cash point closing - selection for the simplified daily closing
- Cash register brand - manufacturer designation / brand of the cash register hardware
- Cash register model name - model name of the cash register hardware
- Cash register id - ID of the cash register hardware
- Cash register software company* - company developing / distributing the cash register software
- Cash register software brand* - brand name of the POS software
- Cash register software version* - software version of the cash register software
- Currency ISO code* - Currency symbol according to ISO (e.g. EUR)
- Cloud archive - Checkbox to activate the archiving of fiscal data in the RetailForce Cloud (licence required!)
- Printer configuration - Configuration of the fiscal printer used
- Printer model - Selection of the printer model used
- epson_FP90II
- epson_FP90III
- epson_FP81
- epson_FP81II
- after selecting a specific printer model, the following parameters must be entered:
- Parameters
- IP address - Enter the printer's IP address. If a specific port is to be used, this can be done by entering (example) 192.168.4.194:9100.
- Print serial number - defines whether the serial number of the printer is to be printed on the document (0...will not be printed; 1...will be printed)
- Printer model - Selection of the printer model used
"Create" completes the creation of the configuration and saves it.
Multiple printers per location / branch
Within the configuration only one printer model can be selected and only IP address entered.
To avoid having to create several configurations for each location (one configuration for each printer), the assignment between terminal/client and printer is made via so-called terminal parameters. Specifications in Terminal Parameters overwrite the parameters entered in the configuration.
Terminal Parameter
Setting terminal parameters enables the use of different printers of one and the same type (one model) within the company. Even if there are several branches and multiple cash registers per branch (locations), only one configuration must be created. However, a terminal parameter must be set for each terminal (client).
To set terminal of terminal parameters, proceed as follows:
- navigate to the corresponding terminal (below the respective "store") and select it,
- click action item "Parameters" and then
- + Add Parameter.
The following parameters are available, which can be entered in the "Parameter name" field. Enter the parameter's value in field "value":
Parameter | value | Description | Example |
ipaddress (ipaddress) | IP-Adresse:Port | IP address and port via which the printer is to be addressed by the respective cash register. | 192.168.178.139:9100 |
printSerial (printSerial) |
0 - Serial number is not printed 1 - Serial number is printed |
Setting whether the serial number of the printer is to be printed. Must only be set if different from the global setting in the configuration. |
0 |
If printers of the same type are used throughout the company, the configuration can be assigned globally at the "Organisation", "Company" or "Store" level.
If different printer models are used, a separate configuration must be created for each printer model. The configuration must then be assigned at the "Terminal" level and NOT globally at the "Organisation", "Company" or "Store" level.
