In order to successfully set up a Lithuanian test system, there are a few things to bear in mind before initialising the client.
Service Company Parameters
Generally, within the framework of Lithuanian fiscalisation, a so-called Service Company is required, which has been authorised by the State Tax Inspectorate (VMI) of the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Lithuania (Valstybinė mokesčių inspekcija prie Lietuvos Respublikos finansų ministerijos) to commission cash register systems.
Even for test systems, certain terminal-specific parameters must be entered by the Service Company in the RetailForce Portal. These "Service Company Parameters" enable the identification of a cash register within the iEKA system. Without these parameters, an error will be displayed during terminal validation.
iEKA Root Certificate – Test
The Lithuanian State Tax Inspectorate (VMI) uses self-signed and non-publicly verifiable certificates for the iEKA test system.
During commissioning, the connection between the fiscalisation service and iEKA is established. As the validity of the iEKA test environment’s root certificate cannot be verified locally, the client does not log in to iEKA using a transport certificate.
It is therefore necessary to import the iEKA test environment’s root certificate into the local host system before client initialisation.
We or your service company will be happy to provide you with the relevant certificate.
Time zone setting
Communication with the iEKA system will only work if the Lithuanian local time is set on the host system. You can find more information in the article Time zone setting for Lithuania.
