Supported operating systems
In principle, RetailForce Middleware supports different operating systems. From country to country, due to different integrations, there may be additional requirements regarding operating systems.

Supported operating systems overview
The FLink service, which is connected to the RetailForce Middleware, is currently only available on Windows. As usual, RetailForce Middleware can be installed on all supported platforms, but for non-Windows-based systems an additional Windows computer is required, which must be accessible via the local network so that RetailForce Middleware can communicate with the FLink service. In countries where FLink controls fiscal printers, the Windows computer must be located in the respective store.
Specifics by country
In order to ensure the proper operation of FLink, it is necessary to use certain Windows versions. Known specifics:
Bulgaria
The use of a Bulgarian Windows version is required to ensure the correct display of Cyrillic characters.
The following configuration settings must be made:
- Windows region settings
- Format: Bulgarian (Bulgaria)
- Administration - Change system location (change region settings - Language for non-Unicode programs): Bulgarian (Bulgaria)
Allocation of payment types
The FLink interface supports several means of payment (payment types). These can be linked to the corresponding means of payment (PaymentType) via the FiscalClient configuration. If payment type allocation is not configured, the following default allocation table is used:
