To begin updating the RetailForce Fiscalservice, please first download the latest version from our download page:
Attention: We recommend updating the Fiscalservice only after daily closing. Additionally, ensure that there is no pending data for the cloud upload (the tempcloud folder should be empty).
The following guide will lead you through the update process. Please follow the steps carefully to ensure the correct installation and configuration of the Fiscalservice.
1. Disable the Service
- Open Device Manager: Press "Win + X" and select "Device Manager".
- Disable Service: Right-click on the "RetailForce Client Service" and select "Stop".
2. Uninstall Existing Software
- Open Control Panel: Press "Win+R" and type "appwiz.cpl".
- Uninstall RetailForce: Select "RetailForce Client Service" and click on uninstall.
3. Download and Install Fiscalservice
- Download Latest Version: Find all RetailForce software versions at www.retailforce.cloud/downloads.
- Install RetailForce: Double-click the downloaded file to start the installation process. After installation, the Fiscalservice will run automatically and will be available at:
- http://localhost:7678/swagger/index.html.
If the Fiscalservice is not automatically available, please manually activate the service.
4. Establish Connection to the Cloud
- POST /api/v1/management/cloud/connect: This endpoint authenticates your clients in the Cloud.
- GET /api/v1/management/clients: Lists all locally configured clients. Executing this endpoint provides the necessary Client-IDs for Cloud Authentication.
Note: For systems with activated cloud archiving, the fiscal service will only accept transactions if the "POST /api/v1/management/cloud/connect" endpoint has been executed.
