Create API key (action item) – RetailForce Software GmbH

The action item "Create API key" is used to create an API key for authenticating the cloud communication

of the RetailForce (Fiscal) client, as well as
for using the cloud API.

After pressing the button, a pop-up window appears containing

the API key and
the API secret.

Both values can be copied to the clipboard individually using the buttons:

The respective API key is listed as a user under "User assignments".

ATTENTION: Please note that the API secret is only displayed when the API key is generated for the first time! Displaying the API Secret at a later time is not possible.

A key pair can be used for the entity for which it was generated and for all subordinate entities. It can be used by any number of remote systems (middleware clients) to establish the cloud connection. In principle, any number of key pairs can be created, but we recommend deleting unused key pairs (in "User assignments").
