The RetailForce Fiscal Middleware is provided by us as a hosted cloud service (‘Cloud Fiscalisation’). This is an alternative architecture variant. A local installation of the middleware can be dispensed with in this variant.
Supported countries
The Cloud Fiscalisation Service does not support all fiscal countries integrated in RetailForce. Migration is planned for some countries, while others cannot be mapped via a cloud service due to fiscalisation requirements, for example because a local hardware component is prescribed.
The FiscalCountryProperty SupportedEnvironments can be used to query whether a specific country is supported. FiscalModuleEnvironment.Cloud in the collection indicates that the Cloud Fiscalisation Service is available for the respective country.
Differences
Differences between the implementation of the local service and the Cloud Fiscalisation Service.
Service calls
It is possible to switch between the two variants without adapting the integration. In the case of the Cloud Fiscalisation Service, calls are made to https://fiscalisation.retailforce.cloud
You can access the swagger via: https://fiscalisation.retailforce.cloud/swagger
Authentication
For security reasons cloud fiscalisation integrates basic http authentication pattern. Secured endpoints must have authorization with basic http authentication. You can use ApiKey/ApiSecret for the authentication (as used with cloud/connect) or you can create your own user/secret.
Missing functions
In principle, all functions of the local installation are also available in the Cloud Fiscalisation Service, with the exception of those used to administer the local service.
